Zelpha Comics is truly a childhood dream come true for founder
Luanga A. Nuwame. As an avid comic book collector since the
age of seven, Luanga - nickname 'Lue' or 'Lewis' - always thought
about the day he would take the plunge into publishing his own
line of books. Lue was the type of kid who sat through his
elementary and high school classes doodling superheroes on his
notebooks. Heck, even in college, he couldn't resist trying to
self-publish a book in ashcan form. Though he didn't try seriously
to gain access to the industry during those past years, his passion
for comic book creation always burnt bright in his mind.

After years of growing up collecting Marvel, DC, Dell, Gold Key,
Charlton, Dark Horse and Image comics book titles, he felt the
time to add his own mix of unique properties was finally due. All
Lue needed was the right artist to come along to make his ideas
a reality.

After almost half a decade of struggling to find an artist who shared his passion for comics, understood
the hard work and complexities of comic publishing and had the dedication to finish a book on a deadline,
Lue thought his vision would never take shape. For a while he gave up on his publishing dream and
instead concentrated on his game and trading card design firm Azikwe Ltd. while holding out hope one
day that right artist, or artists, would come along.

That day of finding the right artist came in the most unlikely of places. Through Lue's You Tube channel The
Homemade Game Guru, a gifted artist named George Leon happened to comment on how much he liked
Lue's videos and hinted at possibly collaborating on a project one day. After becoming friends on
Facebook, Lue was able to see the posted amazing artistic work George was capable of. Long story
short, Lue contacted George about his idea of taking his card game Paper Rock Scissors N' Stuff and
converting it into a comic book series. George accepted the challenge and thus here we are today. Paper
Rock Scissors Wars #1 is complete and another five issues are on the way. Zelpha Comics is born!

For both men, the childhood dream of becoming a bonafide comic book publisher is now a reality. And
Paper Rock Scissors Wars is just the beginning. A second comic book series entitled Enter the World
of Mephistopheles is also being developed and the first issue - completely drawn by Lue - is available
on this site in limited quantities.

Zelpha Comics is to become a publisher of comics beyond what is currently on the market. The weird, the
outlandish and creatively insane will become standard content here. Superheroes will be more than just
good verses evil. Everyday objects we use in our lives without much reflection will become living
characters consumed in eccentric adventures. Our heroes and villains will be so alike you won't be sure
who to root for and who to despise. Zelpha is the birth of something new and our organization is
committed to delivering you the best originality we can.

And if you are curious, "Zelpha" is the first name of Lue's Grandmother. The company was named after
her out of respect for all the support she gave Lue when he was a child - plus, he just loves the sound of the
name. An original name for an original company.
